Da Vinci the Genius @ 1:05:00 PM

Leonardo da Vinci

From left : Self portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, Vitruvian Man and Mona Lisa.

I went for the exhibition thats was held in the Pusat Sains Negara.
I enjoyed eventhough I knew most of them didn't. The only people who were keen : Denise, Ram and I. They displayed his inventions and artworks. He was so intelligent that it freaked me out quite abit. Most of his ideas are used in today's works. He was a poor human being and therefore could not actually build his ideas, instead he wrote it in his tiny notebooks. To prevent other people from stealing his ideas, he wrote in mirror writing*.

In the exhibition they explain his ideas and life story. Oh and there's a special section on the Mona Lisa where another 25 more secrets are unraveled! It's seriously awesome and a definite must to check it out. He seemed almost alien. Some speculate he's gay as he enjoyed working in the presence of beautiful men. That's why he moved to Milan and didn't have any relationship with women.

I can't really explain my feelings after the exhibition but I was truly amazed to find such a human that ever existed. Blown away to be exact. All I can say is that I wish I could have met him personally.
I'm taking my dad with me the next time :D

Awesomest quotes from Da Vinci

  • Nature never breaks her own laws.
  • Nothing strengthens authority so much as silence.
  • Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
  • Common Sense is that which judges the things given to it by other senses.
  • As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death.

But the best for last,

"Art is never finished, only abandoned."
- Leonardo da Vinci

Just saying it like how I see it.

This may sound cheesy but I'm going to save the world.
